Take a look at the map below to follow along on the mountain real-time via my Garmin inReach Messenger.  GPS breadcrumbs will be available to give you an idea of where I am.

You can send text messages, too. Click on the 'message' button (using the map below - this functionality may not be available if you are using a mobile device) and type away.  Just like a regular text message, no special charges apply on either end thanks to my unlimited message subscription through Garmin.

Notes about GPS communication: be aware that downloading new messages or sending location updates requires the Garmin GPS to be powered and have a clear view of the sky, so don't worry if there are gaps in communication or if you don't see movement on the map.  The GPS will often be powered off while at camp to preserve batteries.  

It's always nice to see a new inbound messages when I power on the device - don't let the time lag between sending and receiving messages stop you from writing!
